ABOUT ABOUT

You're invited to a great summer wine party with Lee Kuehn of Vintage Wine & Spirits who will be taking us on a Wines of the West Coast journey in our courtyard (weather permitting) on Thursday, September 19, 2019, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

This could very well be our very last Al Fresco Wine Party of 2019 so please come join us!

As always each of the four wines proffered are paired with a delicious small plate (and one dessert course) from Chefs Pete Phillipy and Mike Henney, and Executive Priory Fine Pastries Chef Jim Lazeration. Ray "The Axe Man" on One Ray will perform in our courtyard too! Please email Zachary Webb - [email protected] - with any questions. Tickets are $60 per person plus processing fees.

And, here are the four wines - two from California and Oregon - that you will enjoy:

  • '16 Pull Chardonnay - Paso Robles, California. Aromas of ripe, tropical fruits lead into hints of orange peel on the nose. Flavors of white peach, melded with finely balanced oak offer a palate full of delicious surprises. The wine’s mouth-feel reflects the creamy textures of great Chardonnays and, typical of our winemaker’s style, it is balanced with refreshing acidity.
  • '15 Pino Cellars Pinto Gris - Oregon. The flavors are juicy and ripe with apple, honeydew melon, and kiwi dominating. The finish is vibrant with crisp acidity lingering on the palate.
  • '15 Iris Vineyards Pinot Noir - Willamette Valley, Oregon. A blend of Pinot Noir from Chalice Vineyard and other select vineyards of the Willamette Valley, this wine showcases the quality of the 2015 vintage and the diversity of Willlamette Valley Pinot Noir. The aromas of raspberry, plum, and blackberry complimented by a deep, rich, and long palate make this a versatile wine which will pair well with a variety of foods.
  • '14 Peirano Estates Vineyards "The Immortal Zin" Old Vine Zinfandel - Lodi, California. The color of this wine is truly Immortal. Its rich dark color goes on and on and on. The deceptively subtle aromas of this wine combine red current, raspberries, red cherries, with earthy cedar marrying together to put your olfactory senses into a new dimension. In the mouth, the palate is wrapped in a mysterious, velvety layered mix of raspberry cordial, sweet mouth filling red fruit, blackberry and red current, leading to a lengthy rich mouth filling almost breathless finish. This is a wine for great food, friends and conversation, or an intimate meal for two by a flickering fire. Whichever your pleasure, our “Immortal” Old Vine Zinfandel will make it memorable.

Please come join us under the stars!
