You're Invited to experience the first of three Whiskey Samplings this summer at our beautiful Mansions on Fifth Hotel.
We kick off our three part Whiskey Sampling Series at our Oak Room on July 10, and continue on the second Wednesday through August and September. Our Whiskey Samplings will be curated by Deb Mortillaro of Dreadnought Wines & Spirits.
At each event we'll taste three whiskeys from distilleries and regions from around the world, comparing and contrast the final products of different distilling techniques, ingredients and philosophies. We'll also feature some light, palate cleansing food. Cost for each sampling is $25 per person. For questions, please email Ricky George.
Our Wednesday July 10 kick-off event features the whiskeys of Amrut Distilleries of Bangalore, India. In 2005, Amrut hit the world stage when noted whiskey critic Jim Murray gave the distillery a whopping 82 out of 100 rating and named its fusion single malt the third best whiskey in the world. We'll be tasting whiskies in the nature of scotches: the Amrut Single Malt, Amrut Peated, and Amrut Fusion.
